Vitrum 25th concluded its run. The four days international fair of glass have been an intense period of preparation and attendance.
Our general manager, Mrs. Corinna Lovati, expresses her point of view speaking about various topics.
“These intense days were marked by encounter and tokens of friendship, during which we had the opportunity to meet selling agents, customers and new dealers. As usual, one of the most important thing of these four days, is to be present and experience the market trend first-hand. More over is important to show always our brand, recognized as one of the Italian excellence all over the world for over 86 years” and as a strong signal of presence”.
Speaking about the market of glass processing machine, but not only that, there is a big truth that is damaging present nowadays life.
“The current global economic situation is complex, marked by slowing growth, persistent inflation above pre-pandemic levels, and significant geopolitical risks like trade tensions and conflicts. What’s happening in the world in these last months is not good at all. First of all for all the victims of the wars and also as regards all the markets. Unfortunately the mood that we feel nowadays is not great and this point of view is shared by all professionals. Wars and trade disputes are creating uncertainty, disrupting supply chains, and increasing shipping costs, which are all dragging down economic performance. But how could it be different? Of course this sentiment is also partly reflected in the market. Middle East, East, Russia during these last months became virtually inaccessible. Despite this, we have to keep strong, hoping first of all for an end of all wars in the world and believing that after this difficult period, things will get better and the world’s economy will recover”.
Taking a look to the future, Mrs. Lovati has a trust vision of what could happen.
“Elevated tariffs are putting upward pressure on global inflation and could hinder economic growth. If wars stopped the entire world economy would benefit. It might seem an obvious commonplace, but it is right now that we must need a clear vision for the future, trying to program and project next months, hoping in a fast recovery that probably would not be uniform. Some advanced economies will show more resilience than many low-income countries, which will face greater risks of scarring from recent crises. In our context, we will try to pursue motivation using also AI, an important resource, to be used in the right way, without abusing, but drawing the maximum benefits it can give us. Meanwhile, in the immediate future, Lovati will be present at Eurasia Glass in Istanbul next November, just to monitor a market that for obvious reasons now, is “a little far from us”.
